Windmill Wishes by Cindy Adelle Richard

This image made me think of daydreaming, so I decided to write a Haiku poem to accompany it:

Windmill Wishes

Spinning windswept clouds

canary yellow tulip fields

vague visions of home

Does anyone else use extra kitchen cabinets for books 📚? I don’t do much cooking, so there are literally 2 cabinets that hold all of my dishes and cookware- the rest have books!! #bookspace #booksinthekitchen
It’s my birthday 🥳 and the best present of all is that I received the 1st dose of my COVID vaccine on Friday 🎉 I honestly didn’t think it would happen until this summer. I’m headed to lunch with my dad and then taking a much needed rest by diving into a good book (I have missed reading so much). #aries♈ #birthday #covidvacccine
It’s starting to look like an art studio 🖼 🎨!!
Welcome to my Dreamery! I had a choice of using this as storage space or using it as a space to dream, write, and meditate. I think I made the right choice! #inspiringspaces #writingnook #dreamspaces #meditationroomdecor
Things will be quiet around here for another week... I’m in the process of moving (and I started a new job), so I’m a tad stressed (but for good reasons). This will be my future studio, and I can’t wait to show you the finished product.
I finished Emily Lex’s book “Freely and Lightly” last week, but I’ve been flipping back to sections I underlined to process them and enjoying all of her beautiful watercolor illustrations (there are about 80 illustrations throughout the book). This is a memoir about Emily’s journey to strengthen her faith in God, but regardless of your beliefs (and as long as you believe there is a higher power), you will get a lot out of this book. Emily’s words are sincere and she provides examples that most women can relate to. I included some of my favorite illustrations- I really appreciated that Emily did not skimp on the illustrations (sometimes when publishers say books are illustrated, there ends up being like 10 in the whole book). I also received a beautiful print for preordering the book (the 1st picture with the buffalo check chair I adore). I learned a lot from the way she handled her book launch - lots of free tie ins, giveaways, sending the book + paintings to reviewers so they can share what they thought of the book, and much more - if you are responsible for marketing your own books, I recommend checking out how Emily handled her book launch. In summary, I definitely recommend this wonderful book. #emilylex #booklaunch
