Artwork by: Cindy Adelle Richard

Hello! My name is Cindy Adelle Richard, and welcome to Adelle Circa 1920 Literary Art. I will start by explaining what the name Adelle Circa 1920 means. Adelle is my middle name, and it fits perfectly with the time period I love the best — the 1920s. I included circa because the things I tend to love the best were invented and/or produced around or about 1920, but I love the 1930s-1940s as well.

I am a devout bibliophile, and I have loved books since about the age of 3. Every room in my home contains books (even my kitchen cabinets are loaded with books), and they are the one thing I will always make space for in my home no matter the size. I have decided to express my love for books through my art and writing – in consequence, I call myself a Literary Artist. I love to share my vintage-inspired watercolor paintings, photography, and mini-stories + poems inspired by my bookish explorations.

I am constantly finding great sources of literary inspiration, so I created this blog to collect and share my interesting discoveries with other book lovers. Think of this blog like your all access pass to a Biblio Wonderland with me as your trusty guide. I hope you find loads of inspiration while venturing through my blog.

Thank you for visiting Adelle Circa 1920 Literary Art.

    • I read an excerpt from your story about the speakeasy – very interesting; I would love to read more. I have not published yet but I am currently working on getting some things published – I will be sure to share them when I do.

  1. Hi. I found your lovely write up about my work recently. Thank you.
I am in the process of getting some originals in print and maybe greetings cards. No info on that yet but thought you might be interested.
Thanks again for your positive words.
    Kind regards
